Therapy is a unique space we share together. It is an open and supportive environment where we will explore and process your lived experiences, beliefs and emotions. It is a time for you to feel listened to, validated, and heard as we address the underlying causes of your concerns, set goals, and develop skills to facilitate growth.

Therapy can benefit you if you are experiencing emotional distress, adjusting to life transitions, or simply seeking personal growth and self-discovery. Whether you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or would like to prioritize your overall health and wellness, therapy may be a helpful resource. You do not need to seek help only during your most challenging times; rather, it can be a helpful add-on part to your already healthy life!

I value collaboration and tailor treatment to accommodate your unique needs by utilizing a blend of relational-psychodynamic and person-centered practices. This allows you to explore your past experiences and understand how they relate to the present. YOU are the expert of your story, and I am simply grateful to be a part of your healing journey. To learn more, feel free to explore my website further and reach out to chat!

The frequency of sessions depends on your individual needs and goals. Initially, I recommend sessions one time per week. If we feel you need to meet more often, I may recommend sessions twice per week. Once we build our relationship and learn more about what you are experiencing, we can re-evaluate, and as you progress, session frequency may decrease. Typically, we will choose a time that works in your schedule and stick with it weekly to establish consistency.

The duration of therapy varies for each individual and depends on factors such as the nature of your concerns, your goals, and your progress in therapy. Some clients find relief and achieve their goals within several months, while others may seek and benefit from long-term therapy.

Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. I offer a safe space for you to share and explore your world. However, I am a mandated reporter, meaning disclosure is required by law to prevent harm to self and others or if I suspect others are hurting you.

I adhere to the cancellation policy at Lotus Counseling Center, which asks clients to cancel at least 48 hours in advance. I allow each one of my clients a late cancellation without charging. If a client misses more than one session, it is required I charge the card on file. This is a strict policy to respect each other’s time, and it is explained in more detail in your intake paperwork.

The Florida State of Clinical Mental Health Counseling requires clinicians to attain at least 1,500 hours of clinical work post-graduation and at least 100 hours of supervision. I am currently in the process of acquiring these hours, and I meet with several licensed supervisors and other pre-licensed clinicians to ensure I am conducting therapy in the most ethical and appropriate way.

I encourage you not to prepare for your first session or any session! This creates space for us to identify what is truly happening by allowing thoughts to naturally arise during session.

It is completely normal to feel uneasy and have questions about starting therapy! I encourage you to reach out to discuss any concerns you may have and determine if we are the right fit. Your comfort and well-being are my first priorities!
